POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Scientist, Product Development will play a key supporting role in developing innovative dietary supplements, focusing on two-piece capsule formulations. Working closely with the Product Development Lab Manager, this position will assist in formulation design, material sourcing, and the scale-up process, ensuring products meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role will contribute to creating effective, consumer-focused health and wellness solutions in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
- Contribute to the development of two-piece capsule dietary supplement formulations, supporting projects from bench scale through commercialization under the guidance of the Product Development Manager.
- Conduct ingredient research and material evaluation to support the sourcing of raw materials in partnership with procurement and external suppliers. • Assist in conducting pilot trials to optimize formulations and ensure scalability for commercial production.
- Facilitate developmental stability studies, maintain accurate records of formulation iterations, and document analytical outcomes in compliance with internal systems.
- Participate in troubleshooting technical challenges related to formulation performance and manufacturing processes, proposing solutions in collaboration with the team.
- Ensure formulations comply with regulatory, labeling, and quality standards, working with QA/QC and Regulatory Affairs leads.
- Execute formula and raw material specification changes through the change control process.

What You Need:
• Experience and/or Education: • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. • 0-2 years of experience in formulation development, product development, or a related field (internship experience is acceptable). |
