POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Business Analysis follows established department procedures to assist the Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing, and Finance functions through coordination of multi-site and cross functional activities involved with the daily execution of sales and inventory. The Manager, Business Analysis works within current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and uses current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure the consistency and quality of the product as well as efficient utilization of Thorne resources
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
- Compiles and distributes of the Daily Sales Reporting to the leadership team.
- Analyzes company gross margin to create a forecast and analysis for the future and reports to the leadership team.
- Reviews raw material availability and current on-hand inventories coupled with production activities to facilitate the planning and scheduling of the production of Thorne products.
- In consultation with Production Planning Manager and Master Scheduler, updates applicable information within the ERP system to ensure planning and scheduling assumptions are continuously updated to reflect current business requirements and operations capabilities.
- Distributes production schedules or work orders, with explanations, clarifications, and descriptions, as needed, to departments.
- Creates demand updates for rolling 12-month periods based on the projected number of mixes, capsules, and bottles that are needed to keep the Production Department informed of future demand.
- Makes financial decisions for pre-mix demand based on analysis and creates work orders to meet the projected production plan.
- Compiles information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
- Makes sound financial decisions for the Company on large, big buyer and distributor sales orders.
- Maintains a professional attitude, particularly when under the recurring stress of deadlines and demonstrates sound judgment in such situations.
- Meets Company customer service goals and expectations by collaborating with Master Scheduler, Production Planning Manager, and Procurement to assist in ensuring the Production Department has the materials and resources available required to meet established manufacturing objectives.
- Interacts with other departments in a positive and supportive manner.
- Demonstrates initiative and industry knowledge by suggesting ideas, devising new and better ways of accomplishing collective and personal goals, and finds innovative, well-thought-out solutions to problems.
- Communicates with the warehouse, QC Lab, QA, Document Control, Procurement, and manufacturing groups on material, packaging, component, and document flow.
- Provides Master Scheduler and Production Planning Manager updates to manage and maintain the Back-Order Report and At-Risk Report.
What You Need:
- Experience and/or Education: By training, education and/or experience, employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the job. Bachelor’s degree required and 1 year of manufacturing experience required
