- Must hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with:
- General Administrative or Principal endorsement; and
- Teacher Evaluator designation.
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction or related field.
- Five years of successful experience in public education with at least two years in a supervisory role.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
- Assists the Principal in the general administration of the school.
- Assists district administrative staff members and specialist in carrying out their assigned functions.
- Assists with freshman orientation.
- Supervises the formal curriculum and instructional program of the school, and keeps abreast of research based practices that are shared with staff.
- Provides professional development opportunities for staff.
- Assists with the building assessment program, and interprets results to the school community.
- Under the direction of the Principal, writes the school improvement plan, and coordinates and supervises all school improvement data related activities.
- Assists in the evaluation of staff members and makes recommendations regarding staff assignments and retention.
- Supervises and coordinates library resource services.
- Coordinates the use of substitute teachers.
- Supervises and evaluates paraprofessionals.
- Assists in the development of the building budget.
- Directly supervises division leaders in implementing and coordinating curricular offerings in order to cultivate horizontal and vertical continuity in articulation of the instructional program.
- Works with division leaders to identify building equipment and supply needs for new courses and programs.
- Assists in the recruitment, screening, hiring, orientation and assignment of personnel.
- Guides appropriate faculty groups in the evaluation of instructional programs and services.
- Coordinates the selection of textbooks, supervises the ordering of approved textbooks, and maintains a list of approved textbooks.
- Supervises the bookstore staff, all operations of the bookstore, and book pick-up.
- Assists the Director of Teaching & Learning in the creation and distribution of curriculum guides.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff development training programs for certified staff members.
- Works with the Director of Career & Technical Education (CTE), the Director of Special Education, and the Director of Teaching & Learning to assist with student programming.
- Develops and coordinates the building of the Master Schedule.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model for increasing student achievement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.

- Salary range is $95,733-$173,111, based on verified experience and education
