Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to assist in supporting global business decisions in a professional services environment. You’ll be a key part of the team as you help develop and supply key metrics and analyses to leadership. The goal of the role will be to support the team which enables clear business decisions based on sound information delivered clearly and effectively. You’ll need to be highly motivated and to demonstrate an ability to understand complex business situations.

You will work in a collaborate environment as you support:

• The creation and maintenance of financial models.
• The communication of their findings. Occasional exposure to business leaders from multiple areas of the organization is possible and would require strong/clear communications skills.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Analyst(s) in regular reporting tasks as needed.
• Assist in conversion of current analyses from legacy formats (including excel) into Power BI
• Assist Financial Analysts in improving FP&A processes through standardization and automation, leveraging tools including but not necessarily limited to Power BI.
• Support monthly compilation and analysis of financial results including revenue, expenses and an array of KPIs.
• Support the upgrade and conversion of flexible financial models to answer queries and pressure test hypotheses.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration, with strong understanding of accounting. MBA or advanced credentials a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong MS-Excel required (macros, pivots, data, advanced spreadsheets).
• Power BI experience required
• Microsoft Dynamics experience strongly preferred.
• Engineering/Architecture or Professional Service industry experience a plus.
  
  

Compensation

The rate for this position generally is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
