Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. seeks Project Engineer - Structure in San Francisco, CA to perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes for loading including wind, gravity and seismic.
Requirements :
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Utilizing modern cross-platform software including AutoCAD Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Enercalc, and MathCAD.
- Utilizing advanced analytical methods including advanced lateral analysis.
- Detailing steel, wood and concrete structural systems for completion of construction documents.
- Developing drawings based on analytical and design results to prepare drawings for construction activities.
- Coordinating structural designs with site constraints to provide designs which are fully coordinated and constructable.
- Applying current building codes to designs to confirm elements meet code-based requirements.
- Reviewing as-built conditions including determining if conditions meet design intent and developing structural modifications.
- Performing repairs necessary to address conditions that are encountered during construction administration services.
Telecommuting and / or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $125,798 and $125,798 per year. 40 hours per week. Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $125,798-$125,798. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful California applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by California Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
