- Serve as the bank’s primary contact with its customers, both in providing services and in routing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
- Receive deposits and payments for all types of accounts, verify cash and negotiability of checks and issue receipts, giving credit for funds according to bank policies.
- Cash checks and accept withdrawal requests in accordance with bank policies, referring questionable transactions to supervisor for approval.
- Issue stop payment requests.
- Actively cross-sell bank services, informing customer of new programs or other services that may be of interest to them.
- Follow all security policies and procedures. Report discrepancies or suspicious activity to supervisor.
- Provide customers with account information and correct balances.
- Maintain assigned cash drawer and balance work daily.
- Assist with processing night deposits and mail deposits.
- Order checks and supplies as required.
- Complete record keeping requirement in accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act/CIP/OFAC.
- Ability to recognize suspicious activity and report it to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Lifting of up to 20 pounds, twisting and kneeling are frequently required
- Extended sitting up to 95% of the time
- Bending, climbing, and reaching above and below shoulder level is occasionally required.
- Some exposure to dust and/or extreme noise levels may occasionally apply
- Basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) are required
- Ability to use a PC software and office equipment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must be bondable.
