DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY : Operate, monitor, maintain, and to trouble-shoot the wastewater system and wastewater facilities permitted under the Three Affiliated Tribes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Perform weekly inspections and maintenance of various wastewater facilities located throughout the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation. Perform maintenance and repair of the wastewater systems and their facilities. Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs made to wastewater facilities in conformance with U.S. EPA Region 8 standards. Properly collect, store, and deliver wastewater effluent for testing. On call response to emergencies and the breakdown of wastewater systems and their facilities. Operate, maintain, and repair department vehicles and heavy equipment. Maintain and repair department facilities. Load vehicles with bulk water for delivery. Deliver bulk water to various homesites. Clean / dispose of septic tank sewage at various homesites. Ensure a safe work environment and that safety standards are met. Work towards receiving certifications in wastewater collection and wastewater treatment. Maintain open communication with the immediate supervisor and department director. Other duties as assigned.NOTE : The duties listed are not intended to be all-inclusive.
