The Three Birds Alliance is the only 24/7 shelter available in the City of Aurora and Arapahoe County, offering emergency shelter and extended-stay care, together with a crisis line, counseling, and court advocacy. THE OPPORTUNITY
Three Birds Alliance is looking for a dynamic, mission-minded professional to lead our Non-Residential Services Programs, including Clinical Counseling and Housing Navigation. Additionally, this person would supervise our Domestic Violence Liaison who is co-located at the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services (DHS). This is a wonderful opportunity for someone join the organization during this time. Our wide-ranging programs provide individualized support to victims/survivors and help empower them with the tools they need on their journey from healing to independence. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Non-Residential Services Director will manage and provide oversight of our non-residential programs while also providing direct client services. This position is also responsible for supervision of Clinical therapists, management of our counseling intern program, and supervision of Housing Navigation staff as well as the Domestic Violence Liaison
WHO WE SERVE
Our service area includes the City of Aurora and Arapahoe and Adams County primarily. Most of our residential clients are women and a third of those we serve are dependent children. Anyone impacted by domestic violence is welcome at Three Birds Alliance. Most Three Birds Alliance clients are low-income, earning at or below 30% of area median income.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Provides oversight and manages the development of each program area
- Maintains confidentiality within the team within the limits as determined by law.
- Resolves issues or problems among staff utilizing ethical communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Assisting in overseeing best practices for safety and security for clients are followed.
- Oversees the operations for maintaining complete client files, including standard forms and progress notes; records all client contact; prepares and collects statistical data on a monthly, quarterly, year-end/regular basis.
- Participates in speaking engagements and community trainings as available.
- Provides regular supervision to three and a half staff members and facilitates weekly team meetings (including interns), conducts timely evaluations of staff performance in accordance with personnel policies. Responsible for reviewing correct timesheets for work and submitting them for payroll.
- Manages the Internship program including 3-5 interns from multiple universities including the recruitment, training, supervision and field work associated.
Clinical Counseling Program
- Oversees clinical counseling program providing free of charge, licensed counseling to adults and youth in an individual or group environment
- Provides crisis intervention when appropriate, screening and assessment services to victims of DV; assign intakes for counseling services.
- Ensures advocacy and follow up services as needed, acts as liaison between local agencies and clients when necessary.
- Manages a small client caseload and conducts both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Oversees the completion of child abuse reports, when necessary, in a timely manner.
- Manages the scheduling of space use to meet the needs of the interns and therapists.
Housing Navigation Program
- Supervises the Lead Housing Manager and Housing Case manager and oversees the case planning and follow up activities provided to clients.
- Shares knowledge of housing related community resources available for referral purposes and builds relationships with other community-based organizations when needed.
Domestic Violence Liaison
- Manages ongoing program with Arapahoe County DHS and attends regular meetings with their staff for planning and problem-solving.
- Supervises a Domestic Violence Liaison co-located within the Department who consults with Case Workers on cases where DV is involved.
- This partnership has the opportunity to grow in the near future
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field required
- DORA Licensure as LPC, LCSW or LMFT required. LCSW preferred
- 4 years of direct clinical work including trauma informed care required
- 2 years of experience in a social services field required
- 3 years of experience in program management and providing supervision required
- Trained in EMDR and SMART therapy a plus

- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in collaboration with local community agencies and the Department of Human Services/Child Protected Services.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING
- Expected annual salary range of $82,000 - $86,000 depending on education and experience.

- Paid time off, accruing per 24 pay periods annually totaling 3 weeks of vacation and 12 sick days.
- 11 paid holidays and 2 personal days to use at employees’ discretion.
- Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday (9am - 5pm), with occasional evenings based on need of clients’ availability.
