What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant /Warehouse Manager position at Three D Electric, Alarm & Solar?
SUMMARY OF THE COMPANY:
Three D Electric Company is a family-owned electrical contractor that has been servicing the Bay Area for more than 36 years. Our main goal is to provide excellent services to our customers. We are currently searching for a Purchasing/Warehouse Assistant to work in Benicia, CA.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
The basic function of the Purchasing/Warehouse Assistant is responsible for monitoring stock levels, researching potential vendors, tracking orders, and updating order records.
- Manage, maintain, and organize Three D Electric Company’s Warehouse, materials, tools, Equipment, etc.
- Receive, verify, and check orders from vendors, Amazon, FedEx, UPS, etc. Once orders are verified, the material needs to be put away in the warehouse.
Coordinate orders with the Estimating, Accounting Department, and Field Supervisors.
-In conjunction with the Project Managers and Foremen, coordinate the delivery of materials to worksites.
-Drive the Box Truck to deliver/pick up material to worksites, vendors, etc.
-Set up the layout and ensure efficient space utilization and safety of the warehouse.
-Follow through with other tasks assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Knowledge of computer literacy.
Experience using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Ability to communicate and understand instructions effectively.
Background in Electrical Field a plus – but not required
REQUIREMENT:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must maintain Forklift Certified – can be certified upon hire
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Alternate sitting or standing for long periods.
