The Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable Assistant supports our mission and values by performing all Accounts Receivable duties for private pay residents. Additionally, provides support for charge entry, census updating and resident trust.
What will I do as a Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable Assistant?
- Update and maintain daily resident census records in computer system. Process changes on A/R computer system. Balance daily and monthly; communicate daily census data to administrative staff.
- Enter and balance all charges for services rendered into the computer system weekly.
- Prepare and submit accurate, inclusive monthly billings for all services rendered by Three Pillars (Private statements, Medicare B billing, Long Term Care Insurance, Service and Assistance, and Mobile Meals). Process upon approval credits and adjustments on monthly billing statements as needed.
- Collect Accounts Receivable balances and maintain collection log on private pay accounts. Maintain acceptable A/R aging levels according to Three Pillars policy and state and federal regulations. Interact with residents and their family members appropriately.
- Attend relevant HCC meetings when manager is not available.
- Achieve satisfactory performance in all performance evaluation areas.
- Keep current with job standards through inservice training, continuing education, personal and professional development.
- Actively recognize and appropriately respond to customer needs.
- Continually seek opportunities for Quality Improvement.
What is required in this position?
- Associate Degree preferred or commensurate experience.
- Two years' medical billing experience preferred.
- Experience working Microsoft Office and A/R software.
