As an entry-level construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the preconstruction phase of our projects. You will work closely with the Senior Estimators and Project Managers to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and gain experience in the field of construction estimating.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes.
- Utilize construction estimating software to perform takeoffs and calculations.
- Assist in the development of bid proposals and project budgets.
- Participate in bid reviews and post-bid follow-up activities.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating documents and communications.
- Learn and stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and material costs.
- Provide support to the Senior Estimators and Project Managers as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or other engineering discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to learn and use construction estimating software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
