Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Intake Specialist to join our Three Rivers Therapy Team. As a Behavioral Health Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, supporting, and coordinating care for individuals seeking mental health services. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and personalized approach to treatment.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct initial assessments to gather comprehensive information about clients' mental health history, concerns, and goals.
2. Administer screening tools and assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and determine appropriate levels of care.
3. Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
4. Provide support, education, and guidance to clients and their families regarding available mental health services, resources, and treatment options.
5. Coordinate referrals to mental health providers, support groups, and community resources as needed to ensure continuity of care.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with other healthcare professionals.
7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment plans, and coordination of care.
8. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of behavioral health.
9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including client confidentiality and informed consent.
10. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health crises, including coordinating emergency services and referrals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
2. Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or related field preferred.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and families.
4. Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and community resources.
5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
8. Commitment to promoting mental health awareness, wellness, and recovery.
9. Proficiency in computer applications, electronic health records, and documentation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
