The Clinician provides psycho-social assessments, individual and family therapies. Will carry a case load, develop treatments plans, lead special focus process groups / educational groups, participate in unit activities, maintain regular contact with resident's referral sources and families. Provides timely and accurate documentation. Participates in referral development activities. Maintains strict confidentiality and privacy of students' and residents' personally identifiable health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy rules and Facility policies. Meets mandatory staff development requirement per the standards of all regulatory and accrediting agencies.Minimum EducationMaster's degree required in counseling, psychology or related social services field.Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year in a behavioral health / therapy setting with the population served.Required Skills, Licenses / CertificationsLicensed Practical Counselor, by the Virginia Department of Health ProfessionsLicensed Clinical Social Worker, by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Trauma Certification, or within 90 days of hireCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)First AideBehavioral Management ProgramValid Driver's License in good standingGeneral RequirementsMust be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Interdepartmental Regulation of Children's Residential Facilities.
