What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist LCSW/LPC position at Three Rivers Treatment Center?
The Clinician provides psycho-social assessments, individual and family therapies. Will carry a case load, develop treatments plans, lead special focus process groups / educational groups, participate in unit activities, maintain regular contact with resident's referral sources and families.
Provides timely and accurate documentation.
Participates in referral development activities.
Maintains strict confidentiality and privacy of students' and residents' personally identifiable health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy rules and Facility policies.
Meets mandatory staff development requirement per the standards of all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Minimum Education
Master's degree required in counseling, psychology or related social services field.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of one (1) year in a behavioral health / therapy setting with the population served.
Required Skills, Licenses / Certifications
Licensed Practical Counselor, by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
Trauma Certification, or within 90 days of hire
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
First Aide
Behavioral Management Program
Valid Driver's License in good standing
General Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Interdepartmental Regulation of Children's Residential Facilities.
