Description : Job Purpose
This position administers front line, effective customer service to Three Square Program Partner sites as a Coordinator of Childhood Nutrition Programs including, but not limited to, Kids Cafe and Meet Up & Eat Up. This position is also responsible for communicating with, supporting, and developing new & existing program sites to further our combined mission of ending hunger in our community. This position will be responsible for outreach, training, advocacy, compliance-monitoring, and delivering consistent and essential support to program sites.
Essential Job Functions
- Communicate through various channels with Program Partners and site leaders to keep them up to date on all current and / or changing guidelines and other pertinent compliance information.
- Respond to site leader inquiries / issues and follow up as needed. Advocate and solve problems and ensure concerns and issues have been followed up on and resolved. Communicate larger issues with supervisor and / or manager.
- Conduct site visits with Program Partners to ensure compliance of Program requirements and provide an opportunity to talk openly about issues and concerns, offer feedback and support, through the institution of best practices.
- Gather information / data routinely for interdepartmental use or other reporting requests.
- Work with the team to continuously improve Program Partner customer service and client satisfaction.
- Maintain required job knowledge and skills, and core professional competencies. Attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings.
- Manage Confidential Information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements : Qualifications
Experience and Education
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year College or University is preferred. Two years previous experience in a non-profit sector is a plus; experience interacting with children of diverse backgrounds and a familiarity of a customer service environment is a plus, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Skills
Basic Skills : Critical thinking, basic math to include adding, subtracting, multiplication and division. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and emails. Must possess strong attention to detail. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Social Skills : Actively listen to others and demonstrate understanding of other points of view. Consistently provide ideas, opinions, or information in an articulate, professional way. Must have ability to maintain constructive relationships, demonstrate respect for everyone and have experience working with diverse populations. Requires the ability diffuse situations before potential conflict arises, take initiative to identify and act on potential problems. Must have ability to deal constructively with conflict and resolve conflicts directly by actively promoting and gaining cooperation from others. Able to make consistent decisions that resolve problems appropriately. Must be able to effectively work in a team atmosphere.
Resource Management Skills : Excellent time management skills. Ability to set and meet deadlines, work independently and as part of the Three Square team.
Computer Skills : Proficient in Outlook and Windows based computer software, with an emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing and database management mandatory.
Other : Safe driving record, current vehicle insurance and the ability to use their personal vehicle for business at off-site locations. Employee must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Abilities
Must possess outstanding communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to present and respond to questions and / or feedback from groups of Program Partners, children, and the general public is required. Must be able to exercise leadership in various external relationships. Requires the ability to respond in a timely manner to the needs and requests of others internally and externally, ability to determine tasks, set priorities and goals, manage multiple projects with attention to detail, handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work. Requires the ability to work independently in the field without supervision and to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
Work Environment
This position requires working indoors in an office at Three Square or at diverse agency sites outside of Three Square. Employee will use computer and phones extensively. Occasionally working outside of normal working hours, such as evening or weekends is required. Reliable transportation is a must for frequent travel between Three Square campuses and to Program Partners. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
