Housing Consultant
Job Summary:
The Sales/Housing Consultant will assist home seekers with finding the perfect home, keeping the customers’ needs and budget at the forefront, while providing a pressure-free experience.
Classification:
  • Exempt
  • Pay rate $40,000 - $120,000 (includes base salary plus commissions and incentives)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/ Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Personally interact with customers and effectively explain the home buying process.
  • Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences in relation to the type of new home they are seeking.
  • Provides guided tours of the displays.
  • Answers customer questions about the homes and options, financing, and other questions that may arise.
  • Assist customers with purchasing decisions, keeping their needs and budget in mind.
  • Create an exceptional home buying experience for the customer to include selecting an suggesting options suitable to their needs.
  • Assist customers with completing their finance application and matching them with a vendor.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and mitigate customer complaints, keeping detailed documentation of each interaction.
  • Manage a large amount of customer data, keeping it secure.
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service by keeping clear and consistent communication with the customer.
  • Build a continual pipeline of prospects to include identifying potential customers and developing a database of prospects, communicating with leads, and seek referrals from previous customers.
  • Attend and network at events to build relationships in the community and attract possible customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the homes and options available for sale.
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and visualize projects.
  • Ability to make recommendations to meet the customers’ needs.
  • Ability to operate or quickly learn Rent Manager or other programs.
  • Ability to quickly recall pertinent information.
  • Good computer and data entry skills.
  • Good general construction knowledge or the ability to learn it quickly.
  • Ability to work an open schedule to include weekends.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of home sales experience, preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.
  • Finance experience, a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the lot and home displays.
  • Periods of sitting for data entry.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Other Requirements:
  • Clear background check and drug screening, required.
  • Saturdays are required. We are closed on Sundays and you will have one day off during the week.
Supervision:
The Housing Consultant is supervised by the Owner and may be assigned work by other senior staff members.

Salary : $40,000 - $120,000
