Job Description :
Chemical Dependency Counselor II Bilingual (Spanish / English only)- Render a range of assessment and intervention services under direct supervision. Provide consultation to outside agencies on problems, assessments, and recommendations for clients. Will provide individual case management, e.g., to clients coming out of a detox center and into a residential treatment setting, or in outpatient services. Will serve both males and females; may serve adults or adolescents.
Responsibilities :
- Provide diagnosis and treatment for clients within the range of program services; especially those requiring chemical dependency treatment.
- Provide individual and family counseling.
- Prepare written reports, regular case dictation, and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics.
- Perform other duties necessary to accomplish objectives.
- Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate to make referrals and conduct follow-ups.
- Provide outreach and case management to primary clients.
