JOB POSTING (INTERNSHIP)
Job Title: Part-Time Education Interns for Non-Profit Organization (Remote)
Seeking two Education Interns ( to begin October 2024 to support an arts based non-profit organization. This is an unpaid internship. Possible course credit or Master’s thesis alignment if applicable. 12-16 hours per month, initially on a month-to-month basis, fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing educational materials, including lesson plans, online learning tools, digital film as learning tools
- Assisting in crafting new educational resources
- Working closely with Thresh’s Education Lead
- Assisting in the creation of student-centered, holistic educational materials, activities, and approaches to arts and culture
- Accurately incorporating Indigenous voices and perspectives into education and learning settings
Qualifications:
- Student earning Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education or Education-related field aligned with the arts, culture, or digital media
- Experience in classroom learning or online instruction preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with developing lesson plans
- Preference for those who have taught in alternative learning environments
- Interest in student-centered, holistic approaches to education
- Interest and background in the arts or cultural fields
- BIPOC students encouraged to apply
- Preference for students with an interest in redefining traditional approaches to education
Internship Education/Experience Offerings:
- Experience with holistic, student-centered approaches to education
- Experience with creating lesson plans and online learning materials
- Exposure to styles of in person and online learning
- Experience developing education tools for children and multi-generational learners
- Exposure to US and Global opportunities for teaching and learning
