JOB POSTING (INTERNSHIP)
Job Title: Part-Time Social Media/Marketing Intern for Non-Profit Arts Organization (Remote)
Seeking a Social Media/Marketing Intern (to begin late October/early November 2024) to support an arts based non-profit organization. This is an unpaid internship. Possible course credit if applicable. 12-16 hours per month, initially on a month-to-month basis. Internship can be fully remote; if based in NYC- occasional in-person responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
- Update weekly and monthly content calendars to promote Thresh’s brands on various social media websites
- Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
- Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
- Help create and edit short-form videos
- Perform social media marketing research
- Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
- Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
- Assist with photo/video content shoots
- Ensure brand message is consistent
- Expand brand reach and visibility
Qualifications:
- Currently earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing and/or Design, or related field
- 1-2 years minimum experience with various social media platforms (Instagram, Threads, Tiktok, Facebook, etc.)
- Experience with Later.com a plus
- Experience with Canva
- Experience with CapCut and/or video editing softwares
Internship Education/Experience Offerings:
- Exposure to marketing and content strategy and design
- Experience with social media content creation and management
- Experience working with an arts non-profit organization
- Exposure to organizational rebranding marketing process
