Social Media Specialist (Social SEO SEM)
Are you digitally savvy, with a passion for strategic messaging across various platforms? We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day to day planning and execution of social media and search marketing campaigns to drive business and brand awareness for a variety of clients. You’ll be responsible for improving product/service discoverability, website traffic and revenue.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage search engine and social media marketing campaigns (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X)
- Write and deliver monthly digital content for email, social media and web, in coordination with clients
- Maintain and track spend across all SEM/social campaigns
- Create and manage overarching optimization strategy for all digital content
- Perform research on competitors and industry trends
- Secure more organic traffic, increased conversations and higher rankings through active monitoring and recommendations
- Provide meaningful reporting on key metrics as well as actionable, qualitative insights and recommendations for all search and social marketing programs
- Plan and execute A/B tests or other experiments to continually innovate to improve performance
- Keep up to date with social and paid search best practices, bid management systems, keyword development tools and industry research
- Collaborating with other creatives including designers, photographers and other animators
- This role is equally client-facing as it is “behind the scenes”
Required Skillset:
- 3 years of experience in marketing/social media/SEM/SEO/content development and account management
- Experience with strategic digital marketing tactics, including copywriting, social media, SEO, email and web marketing
- Experience with web analytics tools
- Proficiency with social media scheduling tools (eClincher/Sprout Social/Hootsuite/Birdeye)
- Driven to get results, and know what digital marketing tactics get the job done
- A knack for bringing data to life, creating precise, meaningful reporting for clients
- Skilled, professional communicator, both in-person and in writing
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Local to Washington, DC metro area

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
