Job Summary:
The Inventory Technician is responsible for processing all incoming inventory to ensure it is clean, organized, and ready for sale in-store and online. This role plays a key part in maintaining the flow of merchandise between locations and the e-commerce division, ensuring the highest standards in quality, presentation, and speed.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Sorting & Categorization
- Receive and inspect all incoming donations and wholesale inventory.
- Sort items into “clean” and “dirty” categories based on quality and condition.
- Identify high-value items for special placement (e-commerce or premium racks).
2. Laundry & Cleaning
- Launder all dirty inventory using store equipment and cleaning standards.
- Ensure clothing is dried, folded, or hung properly for tagging.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including machines and detergents.
3. Tagging & Pricing
- Tag all sellable items with appropriate categories (e.g., men's, women's, kids, vintage).
- Accurately price items based on quality, demand, and store guidelines.
- Use color-coding or sticker systems if applicable for inventory rotation.
4. Distribution & Delivery
- Organize and prepare inventory deliveries to:
- Second retail store location
- E-commerce division (TikTok Shop, online store, etc.)
- Transport items on a scheduled basis using store vehicle or delivery process.
- Communicate with store leads and e-com staff about inventory sent.
5. Inventory Flow Management
- Track processed inventory volumes and turnaround times.
- Alert the Operations Manager of any slowdowns, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Help rotate older stock out of inventory areas to avoid buildup.
Qualifications:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Physically able to lift and move bags or boxes of inventory (up to ~40 lbs)
- Comfortable working with laundry equipment and cleaning supplies
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license (if delivering between stores)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
