Job Title: Communications Coordinator

Department: Human Resources Department

Reports to: Learning and Development Manager

Location: OnsiteModesto, CA


Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the organization’s internal communications strategy by creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees and strengthens the company’s culture. 


Essential Functions Include:

  • Content Management and Communications:
    1. Design and oversee the development of internal promotional materials (email updates, videos and presentations) aligned with company branding guidelines
    2. Facilitate effective internal communications across all departments and organizational levels
    3. Support the maintenance and consistency of the company’s internal brand voice and messaging
    4. Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant
    5. Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture
    6. Maintain the company’s internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values
  • Digital:
    1. Develop and manage a comprehensive content calendar across internal digital platforms
    2. Create engaging multimedia content including posts, stories, and videos aligned with company guidelines
    3. Monitor employee engagement, comments, and conversations across internal social platforms to identify trends and sentiment
    4. Stay current with digital communication trends and platform best practices
    5. Research and generate content ideas based on employee demographics and engagement data

 

Qualifications Include:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with content creation and delivery, including email, intranet content, videos, and presentations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Knowledge of best practices for internal communications
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools is a plus (internal email software, intranet, etc.)
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform with or without accommodations

  • Typical of an office environment including sitting at a workstation for entire shift 
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Able to lift 15 pounds.
