Conveniently located in Corona , CA, we are hiring immediately for a full-time Sanitation Team Member position.

• Schedule: 3rd Shift, 9:00pm Start Time
• Starting Pay: $19.50/hr
• Reports to: Plant Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Sanitation Team Member plays a vital role in getting our product to our customers. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to food safety and quality, looks for improvement and is ready to roll up their sleeves with us.
A Sanitation Team Member will assist in the production of freeze-dried consumable products. This role requires the ability to prepare freeze dried product for finished goods completion which requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and transporting of goods. Thorough understanding of safe food practices and the ability to follow direction is vital. This role is cross trained between the stages of freeze-dried goods, to processing and sorting, to packaging.
Essential Duties:
• Engages in all duties related to the sanitation of the plant. The Sanitation Team Member inspects equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws.
• Perform the cleaning of equipment and inspection of all working parts for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws to ensure readiness for production use.
• Responsible to clean work areas in a manner that avoids damage and destruction to our facility. This role will inspect the premises for unsanitary practices and conditions and escalate to management and production personnel regarding sanitation concerns or issues.
• Recommend changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, or work practices to improve sanitation standards or purity of the product. In this role, the Sanitation Technician will operate lifting equipment for overhead cleaning including IE Boom lift, scissor lift and forklift.
Requirements Include:
• The ability to test cleaning chemicals for titration strength.
• Forklift certification or the ability to be certified.
• The ability to operate and maintain hand tools for equipment setup, floor scrubbers and buffers is a requirement.
• The ability to read and interpret documents, operation manuals efficiently and communicate effectively is a requirement.
• The ability to read and understand measuring tools such as a tape measure, feeler gauges and micrometers are required.
Work Environment:
The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment and unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees as is the ability to lift to 40 lbs. Personal protective equipment is required and provided by Thrive Freeze Dry.
FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
• Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing Thrive Food’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Hold self and others accountable to Thrive Foods food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
• In the absence of Lead serves as back up to ensure all food safety, quality objectives and SQF system requirements are met.
