Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Math Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in various types of math, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, etc. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their understanding of complex concepts and foster a love for learning. The Tutor will utilize learning technologies and innovative teaching methods to create engaging educational experiences tailored to individual student needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in specific subjects, ensuring a clear understanding of material.
- Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles of each student.
- Utilize learning technology and resources effectively to enhance the tutoring experience.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and areas needing improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum changes and educational best practices.
- Provide own transportation to student's home (or preferred place to study)
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- A background in education is advantageous.
- Familiarity with computerized learning tools and technologies is essential.
- Knowledge in subjects such as chemical engineering, anatomy, discrete math, or mechanical engineering is highly desirable.
- Experience in higher education teaching is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner are required.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 8 per week
