We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team!
Job Overview: The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing quality assurance processes within a home care setting. This role ensures home care services meet established standards and regulatory requirements and contribute to clients' overall well-being and satisfaction. The Quality Assurance Specialist collaborates with caregivers, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain and enhance the quality of care.
Responsibilities:

Quality Control in Care Delivery:
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality control processes for home care services.
- Conduct regular assessments of caregiver performance and adherence to care plans.
- Must be willing to cover shifts to ensure client needs are met.
- Work with the PRN onboarding team to ensure all client onboardings are completed, including the remaining onboardings.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant home care regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Client Satisfaction Monitoring:
- Implement systems for monitoring and assessing client satisfaction with home care services.
- Address client feedback and concerns to improve service quality.

Care Plan Evaluation:
- Evaluate and review individualized care plans to ensure they meet clients’ unique needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with nurses and additional administrative personnel to update care plans as necessary.

Training and Education:
- Provide training to caregivers on quality assurance processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Support ongoing education and skill development for caregivers.

Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Establish and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes, caregiver performance, and client feedback.
- Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.

Incident Reporting and Analysis:
- Implement a system for reporting and analyzing incidents or deviations from quality standards.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with caregivers, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to address quality-related issues.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the delivery of home care services.
- Propose and implement initiatives to enhance overall quality.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (preferred).
- Must maintain a Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA).
- CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- Previous experience in quality assurance within a healthcare or home care setting.
- Knowledge of home care regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with relevant technology and software for documentation and reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and WellSky Personal Care are a plus.
Technical Requirements:
- Must own a smartphone with data.
- Must own a personal computer to use for work purposes.
- Must own a personal vehicle with insurance that meets minimum state guidelines.
- Must be willing to travel to all our service regions.
- Must be willing to report to the office In Frederick, MD as needed.
Pay rate: Depending on experience ($18-$21 per hour)
