    Job Summary

    The Community President (Executive Director) balances the role of being a servant leader delivering exceptional performance. They also understand the importance of providing an engaging environment for team members and the residents, while focusing on community operations. The President has a direct responsibility to Build People, Build Census and Build Profit. Thrive Senior Living is looking for a Community President (Executive Director) who will Build People by selecting, developing, and retaining people who support Thrives culture with their skills and passions. One who will Build Census by being strategic and adaptable, and equipping & empowering the Community Relations Director. One who will Build Profit by maximizing profits by controlling labor and food costs within established budget guidelines. The Community President (Executive Director) will also collaborate and build strong relationships with clear communication.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Develop an overview of Community operation by working, overseeing or observing each department.
    • Ensure a healthy census by participating in inquiries and marketing of the Community.
    • Hire, train, motivate, supervise and evaluate Community personnel.
    • Assure quality resident care is provided consistent with all company policies and budget objectives.
    • Ensure that Community meets the Companys established standards as well as standards of accreditation established by licensing and certification agencies.
    • Assure that established budget guidelines for Community are maintained through the development, implementation and monitoring of budget control and cost containment programs.
    • Implement timely corrections of cost overruns.
    • Assure compliance with Company policies, procedures and standards, and supports the organizations goals and values.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of building and grounds through supervision of preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
    • Prepare reports of surveys, complaints or other inspections, patient assessment or other audits, fires, or other disasters, legal problems and any other unusual or non-routine matters.
    • Participate individually and in teamwork activities in striving for quality services, resident care, job performance, etc.
    • Attend and / or hold staff meetings and assist in identifying and correcting problems.
    • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of records, conditions and other information relating to residents, employees, vendors and the Community.
    • Solicit, review, intervene and report complaints and grievances made by residents, families, visitors, agencies, employees, etc.
    • Establish and encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth and interest in residents personal and health care needs.
    • Maintains dependable behavior by following instructions, responding to management direction while taking responsibility for own action and keeping commitments.
    • Ability to commit to long hours of work when necessary.
    • Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
    • Shows initiative by volunteering readily, undertaking self-development activities, seeking increased responsibilities and asking for and offering help when needed.
    • Maintains a professional demeanor, approaching others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position, accepts responsibility for owns actions, and follows through on commitments.
    • Emphasizes quality by demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness and applying feedback to improve performance.
    • Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for the strategy to maintain established quality, service and cleanliness compliance for assigned communities and creating action plans for improvement
    • Consistent and productive 1 on 1s with team leaders in community
    • Monthly Ride Along with CRD (replaces 1 on 1 for the week)
    • Vetted Family Resource Guide
    • Well verbalized process for the implementation and rooting of the Thrive Sales Hexagon in their community.
    • Tracking toward 100% occupancy with a waiting list
    • On target for quarterly NOI goal
    • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Acute business acumen, knowledge of development, knowledge of marketing and leadership skills that highlight the ability to influence
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Innovative and creative self-starter, with the ability to devise solutions to complex problems, and to implement those solutions hands-on
    • Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 2-3 years experience work in an administrator role
