ThrivePoint Academy Utah (TPAU) is currently hiring Teachers in preparation for welcoming students for the first time in Fall 2025. Individuals hired as teachers will join our founding team of education professionals in preparation for serving students in grades 9–12 and families across the state of Utah. The qualified individual will work directly with the school leadership team to establish TPAU’s presence and partnerships within the local community. Immediate efforts will be focused on serving the communities in and around the greater Salt Lake City area. Qualified applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:

Position Overview

We are seeking dynamic and tech-savvy educators to join our team at ThrivePoint Academy of Utah. Our secondary teachers play a pivotal role in engaging students through online courses, as well as providing in-person support on a weekly basis. Our teachers will work in a flexible school setting that emphasizes collaboration and support for all students, including those who require non-traditional learning approaches and credit recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote the school by engaging the local community, families, and prospective students at community events, through local school and community partnerships, at new student orientation sessions, information sessions, and other events as required.
• Engage and educate high school students using our online curriculum.
• Provide weekly, in-person support sessions for students, ensuring their academic progress and well-being.
• Foster a positive learning environment that meets the needs of a diverse student population.
• Navigate learning management systems and online curriculum effectively to facilitate student learning.
• Utilize video chat and other tech tools to enhance virtual communication with students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents to create a supportive and motivating educational experience.
• Monitor student progress, assess learning needs, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Implement instructional strategies that cater to the unique needs of students seeking credit recovery and alternative learning settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Valid Utah teaching license or ability to obtain one.
• Possess or be eligible to obtain Utah background clearance/fingerprint card.
• Experience teaching in high school settings, with a preference for experience in online or virtual education.
• Proficiency in technology and willingness to adapt to new tech tools and platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and virtually.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to serving all students, including those in need of credit recovery and alternative learning settings.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with colleagues and students to achieve common goals.

Please note this is not a remote position. Teachers are expected to work on-site at ThrivePoint Academy of Utah.
