Thumb Bank & Trust is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual with an outgoing, professional personality to join our team as a full-time Customer Service Representative I at our Cass City, MI location.
SUMMARY – The Customer Service Representative I is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions and maintaining proper cash management and balancing procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the position include the following as well as other duties as assigned.
- Provide exceptional customer service by exceeding customer expectations.
- Accurately process customer transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and loan payments.
- Meet individual referral goals and customer service expectations.
- Proper cash management to include balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and effectively communicate the bank’s products and services to customers to assure their financial needs are met.
- Adhere to all bank compliance, security and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Work in a team setting and maintain a positive professional attitude.
- Answer phones professionally, assist callers, and appropriately route calls.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Previous experience at a financial institution is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Present a professional image and communicate in a courteous, positive, and professional manner.
- Dependable and detail oriented with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Pleasant, outgoing personality.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure, problem solve and defuse tensions to provide solutions to customer issues.
- Perform basic mathematical computations.
- Ability to operate on-line teller terminal and other standard office equipment.
- Comfortable with change (processes/procedures, systems, etc.) and technology.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work branch hours, including weekends.
