Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mazak CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a keen eye for detail. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. The CNC Machinist will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities
- Operate Mazak CNC machines, including Mazatrol-controlled equipment, to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using Mazatrol programming software to optimize production processes.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products.
- Interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices aimed at improving efficiency and reducing waste.
- Assist in the development of tooling and fixtures necessary for production runs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mazak CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating Mazatrol CNC machines is highly desirable.
- Experience with Mazatrol CAM programming software for CNC operations.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and ability to read technical drawings.
- Knowledge of welding processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
