Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice. This position involves assisting the optometrist with various tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the office and delivering excellent customer service to patients of all ages.
Duties
- Assist the optometrist by obtaining medical history.
- Check visual acuity and intraocular pressure.
- Manage medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Conduct preliminary tests, including visual field tests and retinal imaging.
- Manage patient inquires and medication refills.
- Be willing and eager to learn the field of optometry.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or optometry setting is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Be willing to learn medical terminology related to eye care and other chronic conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to provide outstanding patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.

Pay: From $14.70 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
