What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation?
The Director of Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of TVCDC, supervising the various program managers and initiative directors, managing the organization’s human resources functions, including the healthcare and other insurance of the organization, and other misc. tasks, operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
? Oversee and manage the day-to-day functions of the Organization.
? Responsible for managing the human resources functions of the Organization.
? Oversee and manage VISTA program coordinator
? Oversee and manage the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator
? Perform and track evaluations and reviews of employees.
? Oversee and manage Information Technology for the organization, this includes security systems, phone systems, wifi etc.
? Regular meetings with the Executive Director and Leadership Team to coordinate operations of the Organization.
? Ensure the strategic plan of the Organization is being carried out, in coordination with the Executive Director.
? Responsible for managing the timekeeping and paid time off accumulated by employees.
? Directly manage the maintenance personnel.
? Responsible for the interview and hiring process for the Organization.
? Prepare monthly operational reports for delivery to the Board of Directors.
? Other duties as assigned in connection with the operational management of the Organization.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
? Bachelor's degree in social work, business, communications, public relations, journalism, English, or other related fields preferred.
? 4 years experience managing/overseeing professional fundraising.
? 2 years prior grant management experience.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to integrate TVCDC mission and goals in day-to-day interactions and other communication.
? Possesses the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members, and other volunteers around goals, creating a collaborative fundraising and organization environment.
? Organized, with a strong sense of follow-through to complete tasks/goals.
? Skilled leader with a focus on employee growth and development.
? Self-starter, eager to learn, grow, and expand advancement and overall organization.
? Adept in budget forecasting and management.
? Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and adept in email/online navigation, comfortable learning new software and programs.
