What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation?
The Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Organization's staff, programs, expansion and execution of its mission. This position requires constant contact, collaboration and supervision of the Organizations departments,
programs and directors. The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors of the Organization and will directly supervise the Deputy Director and the Leadership Team, including the Fundraising Director, Director of Finance, and Director of Operations. The Executive Director will have primary responsibility for assuring the Organization has an appropriate budget and for the fundraising activities. The Executive Director will act as the
primary Organizational representative, ensuring the organization's image is active, visible, and broadening through a variety of means, to include social media, presentations, donor outreach, partner building, and community engagement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Actively engage the Organization's Board, employees and volunteers to ensure the Organizations mission is being accomplished.
Ensure the Organization has effective systems to track scaling progress.
Regularly evaluate organization and ensure open communication and transparency with the Board of Directors, staff, partners, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and regional expansion while simultaneously retiring the Organization's debt.
Manage relationships with Philanthropic and Federal Partners.
Track national trends to ensure the organization stays relevant on a national scale.
Develop new opportunities through the growth of external prominence and presence.
Speak on behalf of the Organization and represent the Organization at major functions and public.
Directly manage Deputy Director and the Leadership Team, involvement in management of full organization staff as needed while remaining focused on a decentralized organization structure.
Prioritize strategic planning to ensure organization's continued growth and mission alignment.
