LATAM Senior Business Development DirectorContext of the roleAs Senior Business Development Director, you will drive new sales growth across LATAM within the payments industry, executing short- and long-term sales strategies to expand our regional footprint. Leading the sales team, you will focus on acquiring and growing relationships with financial institutions, payment service providers (PSPs), acquirers, and merchants while ensuring seamless execution of payment solutions.Responsibilities : Build and manage a robust pipeline aligned with ideal customer profiles, targeting banks, fintechs, PSPs, and large merchants.Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle for payment solutions, from lead generation to deal closure and go-live execution.Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the evolving payment landscape in LATAM.Lead and mentor a small team of BDs, ensuring strong performance and professional growth.Foster strong relationships with financial institutions, merchants, and ecosystem partners to drive adoption of payment solutions.Establish strategic partnerships to enhance payment acceptance, cross-border transactions, and digital wallet integrations.Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and competitive analysis of the payments industry.Collaborate with product, compliance, and risk teams to navigate regulatory requirements and optimize payment offerings.Drive demand generation initiatives, including targeted campaigns, industry events, and thought leadership activities.Track and analyze performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decisions to refine sales and go-to-market strategies.What we are looking for : 10 years' experience in B2B Sales within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry.Proven success in partnerships and account management with banks, PSPs, acquirers, and enterprise clients.Strong network across LATAM's financial ecosystem, including fintechs, marketplaces, and e-commerce leaders.Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals and scale payment solutions across diverse markets.Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams within payments.Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and adapt to market-specific payment trends.Highly driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry.Analytical mindset for managing complex pricing structures, transaction flows, and revenue models.Fluent in English & Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment and is eager to shape the future of digital payments in LATAM.About ThunesThunes is the Smart Superhighway to move money around the world.
