Material Handler/Blender

Responsibilities:

• Mix material to required percentage amount per required specifications.
• Clean and maintain all related equipment (Blender, Loaders, Grinders, etc)
• Track and record regrind usage and history.
• Verify correct materials and labeling, and store in proper location.
• Determine daily material requirements for molding machines.
• Work with Materials Department to help maintain proper inventory levels of material.
• Maintain and clean the materials and regrind storage area.
• Assist Molding Leader with material changeovers.
• Scrap removal (Red Bins) and grinding.
• Serve as back-up to Process Technician or Die Setter as needed.
• Any additional work as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience preferred.

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

• MiOSHA Industrial Powered Truck License
• MiOSHA Overhead Crane License

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching and climbing stairs
• Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
• Pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs
• Use of hands and legs
• Speak clearly, oral communication and hearing conversation
• Ability for rapid manual/muscular coordination simultaneously involving wrist/hands/fingers
• Vision: depth perception and distinguish basic colors
• Operation of truck or motor vehicle

Working Conditions:

• Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
• Noise: constant above 85dcb with vibration
• Occasionally work with chemicals, grease, oils, machinery with moving parts, moving vehicles, hands in water, alone and more than 40 hours

• Eye protection required
• Hearing protection Required
• Occasionally hard hat and gloves are required
• Safety toe shoes.
