Job Summary: The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory tests, analyzing and interpreting results, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have expertise in laboratory techniques, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of laboratory safety and compliance protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret laboratory tests, including but not limited to blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
• Prepare and process samples according to established protocols and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of test results, procedures, and quality control measures.
• Analyze and report findings to medical staff and collaborate with healthcare professionals for further diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols in all laboratory procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and CLIA guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reorder as necessary.
• Participate in training and development to stay updated on new laboratory techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, ideally in a [hospital, research, etc.] environment.
• Proficient in laboratory information systems and various laboratory equipment.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $52.18 - $62.85 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
