The Business Risk and Controls Management job develops and manages a control framework that informs how business decisions are made and ensures appropriate controls are in place. This job is responsible for providing leadership guidance, goals, oversight, and governance across areas under his/her first line responsibility. This job also serves as an extension of their business's leadership team and be a primary point of contact providing access to the full suite of applicable control capabilities to their business.

Base Pay Range: $146,500/yr. - $205,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).

The Business Risk and Controls Management job develops and manages a control framework that informs how business decisions are made and ensures appropriate controls are in place. This job is responsible for providing leadership guidance, goals, oversight, and governance across areas under his/her first line responsibility. This job also serves as an extension of their business's leadership team and be a primary point of contact providing access to the full suite of applicable control capabilities to their business.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Executes first line of risk operational risk programs for area of responsibility. Executes risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) and develops associated risk and controls matrix for areas of responsibility.
- Consolidates business risk profile for area of responsibility.
- Assists business with process and risk identification and assessment associated process and controls strength.
- Coordinates, assesses root causes, and assists with management action plan development for issues and incidents. Proactively tracks and reports on status, closure pipeline, and past-due status.
- Works with first line process owners to map processes and develop remediation plans to improve identified weaknesses in processes and controls.
- Assesses new products, regulatory changes, new policy requirements or changes, products and services risk in conjunction with product, service, and/or process owners.
- In partnership with the Business Operations and Investment Reporting team, develop, manage, and maintain a process, risk, and controls dashboard for their business.
- Partners and coordinates with second and third lines of defense to operationalize the full ecosystem of risk identification, management, reporting, and remediation activities.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred

- Experience with risk and control processes in Retirement, Financial Services firm, or related business
- 5 years of experience in audit, risk, or compliance role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience in interacting with internal audit, risk, compliance.
- Experience in reviewing and drafting procedures and controls.
