As a highly skilled Construction Metalworker, you will play a critical role in the installation, assembly and steel erection components at TIC - The Industrial Company. Your responsibilities will include reading specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of material required, and fabricating metal parts, such as steel frames, columns, beams, or girders, according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
">">">In addition to these tasks, you will also unload and position prefabricated steel units for hoisting; hoist steel beams, girders, or columns into place, using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators to lift and position structural steel members. You will verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels, and cut, bend, or weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.
">">">Bolting aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place is another essential task in this role. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or its equivalent, along with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions are crucial for success in this role.
