We are seeking a skilled craftsperson support specialist to assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
The successful candidate will work under immediate supervision, performing supportive duties as directed. Key responsibilities include learning to read and understand plans and specifications, including operator's manuals for equipment repair.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will learn to use appropriate hand and power tools to repair, replace or perform maintenance on equipment, receive equipment assigned to the job and document its condition, and set up regular service and inspection schedules.
Key skills and qualifications include the ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions, communicate effectively with management/supervision, and field experience in chosen craft discipline.
