Tide Rock is invested in and committed to the continued growth of Specialty Coating Services. The company operates in the contract manufacturing space with end user customers in aerospace / defense, medical device, and consumer electronics. The CEO or President will lead all aspects of Specialty Coating Services’ long-term strategy and day-to-day activities, including sales, operations and inorganic growth. The CEO or President will ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial leadership background, with demonstrated experience in P&L ownership and driving business performance in a contract manufacturing or industrial services. This person will also bring process and metrics-oriented rigor, balanced with agility and speed, to lead a fast-growing, dynamic organization.
The CEO or President will be responsible for developing and managing a highly professional sales and marketing infrastructure and strategy, with processes, metrics and tools that will enable Specialty Coating Services to meet and beat revenue targets. The CEO will have experience scaling and professionalizing a closely held, founder-run business. Additionally, the CEO will work with key customers to grow Specialty Coating Services share of spend, while also capturing new customers of scale. The CEO will also lead efforts to grow Specialty Coating Services’ product range and production capabilities and integrate future acquisitions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and inspire Specialty Coating Services’ team of professionals; Develop, deploy, and manage a process-and-metrics-driven sales and marketing infrastructure to actively drive short-term and long-term growth objectives;
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers to grow share of wallet and optimize new-business-development efforts to win new customers;
- Oversee all operations, ensuring alignment to the overall business strategy;
- Lead commercial strategy, find win / win partnerships across several deal points / variables, versus a more linear approach to signing a standard contract;
- Grow Specialty Coating Services’ customer base;
- Cultivate culture, developing a high-performance management team and driving employee engagement as the business expands;
- Develop investing strategies aimed at advancing the business and increasing profits;
- Lead inorganic growth activity to enhance Specialty Coating Services’ production capabilities and product range;
- Assess and strengthen current KPIs;
- Maintain the highest level of business ethics;
- Review and interpret financial reports, devising solutions for improvement;
- Build trust with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for shareholders.
