Your Role:
Clinical Leadership & Direct Care
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
- Oversee psychopharmacological interventions for patients
- Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and referrals as needed
- Supervise and mentor psychiatric providers (PMHNPs)
- Certify compliance of all diagnostic assessments.
- Ensure that all clients have a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment that addresses medical concerns compliant with COMAR regulations and quality management.
- Review compliance of clients Individualized Treatment Plans and certify when required.
- Provide updated training sessions for staff orientation regarding medications provided to persons served as specified in the CARF standard and provide related staff training yearly.
- Available for consultation during business hours.
- Provide supervision and support for up to 2 preceptors.
Program Development & Quality Improvement
- Implement best practices in integrated psychiatric care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support the maintenance of appropriate standards for patient diagnosis and treatment including therapeutic modalities and prescribing practices.
Collaboration & Advocacy
- Serve as the psychiatric liaison between medical and behavioral health teams
- Educate staff on psychiatric treatments
- Advocate for holistic, patient-centered behavioral health care
What You Bring:
✅ Education & Experience
- MSN or DNP with PMHNP-BC certification
- 3 years post-graduate clinical experience as a PMHNP
- 2 years supervisory experience (preceptor or nurse educator preferred)
- Experience with integrated care, addiction medicine, and co-occurring disorders is a plus
✅ Licensure & Skills
- Current DEA certification
- Current CPR certification
- Active license as a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, collaborative care and EHRs
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to examine, evaluate, diagnose and treat psychiatric and mental illnesses.
- Establishes capability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven competence to work with multidisciplinary treatment teams ensuring development, planning,
- implementation and evaluation of treatment.
- Proficient in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist and aid in the course of daily medical
- responsibilities.
- Skilled in documenting medical records and articulating and interacting with patients and others regarding clinical / administrative concerns or issues with high warmth.
