Direct Support Professional- 24 hr shifts (Friday-Tuesday)

Full-Time: Direct Support Professional /Caregiver

TIDES LLC is a locally owned home and community-based Medicaid service provider, supporting children and adults who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Currently TIDES is seeking an experienced caregiver with direct support interest or experience to join our team in Juneau, Alaska. This position provides direct care services to one man, while overseeing the day-to-day needs of the home.

We are currently looking for the right person(s) for this incredibly exciting and dynamic position. The right person will get to build a career in direct service while supporting one man in living his best live and being supported in his own home. The ideal candidate has positive energy, a can-do attitude, demonstrates strong communication skills, and can take initiative, support maintaining harmony within the home, and ensure the expectations of care are upheld every day. The resident of this home is an adult male who has individualized needs, as outlined in his plan of care.

Managing the day-to-day needs of the resident: Providing assistance with daily needs such as self- care/personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication admiration, cleaning, shopping, transportation, running errands/appointments as well as community inclusion and companionship. You may also provide on-the-job support, including coaching, guidance, and assistance with accessibility and accommodation needs.

Job Status: Full-time

Shifts are typically between the hours of 7am – 10pm

Pay: This position will start out as hourly at the rate of $22.00 (depending on experience) during training and will move to a daily rate of $320.00 (depending on experience) if it is deemed a good match with the resident of the home the caregiver will spend the overnight in the resident's home.

Basic Requirements

• The passion and experience to provide support to individuals who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities is required.
