The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting students in having a positive academic experience through orientation, support, advocacy, and access to available programs and services. The coordinator will ensure timely and effective communication with students to address and resolve any requirements, opportunities, or challenges they may encounter.

Position Purpose
The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting students in having a positive academic experience through orientation, support, advocacy, and access to available programs and services. The coordinator will ensure timely and effective communication with students to address and resolve any requirements, opportunities, or challenges they may encounter.
Key Duties
- Facilitate access to resources such as counseling, tutoring, and career services to support students throughout their academic journey.
- Plan and execute orientation events and workshops to help new students transition smoothly into campus life and understand academic expectations.
- Track students' academic performance and campus involvement, offering guidance and referrals as needed to keep them engaged and on track.
- Advise and advocate for students as they progress toward graduation, addressing academic standing, attendance, or retention challenges.
- Collaborate with the Home Office Career Services Coordinator on G&E chart confirmation and quarterly audits of G&E and Cohort data.
- Maintain ongoing communication with students to understand and address their needs, ensuring their academic success and positive experience.
- Assist students in maintaining academic standing and matriculating successfully.
- Track and report on student advising opportunities, documenting them in physical and electronic student files.
- Develop and update a pipeline of resources, including seminars, workshops, and information sessions, to support student retention.
- Maintain a resource binder with frequently used services, such as medical facilities, health providers, counselors, and emergency services.
- Organize events such as webinars, clubs, and other activities to foster student engagement and connection.
- Assist students with Disability Services requests, act as a liaison with the Home Office, maintain confidentiality, and ensure accommodations are provided.
- Conduct outreach efforts to build relationships with community partners and local businesses to benefit students.
- Provide academic and professional events and activities to enhance students' exposure to their chosen fields.
- Coordinate with the Career Services Department to assist students with temporary job placement while in school and in-field placement after graduation.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an academic support services role or as a student advisor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and able to multitask under pressure.
- Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism.
- Persuasive and effective communication skills with a focus on customer service in an educational setting.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Flexibility to work outside regular shifts, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally or overnight for business purposes.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

- Monday – Thursday:
- (2 days) 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- (2 days) 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (late days)
- Friday:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM unless working Saturday
- If working Saturday, Friday schedule will be 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday:
- 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (1 Saturday per month)
