Position Summary
The Business Manager (Physical Therapy) is responsible for providing overall leadership, growth, marketing, administration, and performance of all aspects of the practice to ensure accomplishment of its objectives and goals. This position ensures the development of practice plans, goals, mission, policies and/or procedures and assists with preparation and monitoring of the budget.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing and maintaining high quality, efficient, and financially responsible health care for family and specialty outpatient clinics.

Responsible for improving patient, physician, and other customer relations.

Participates in planning and implementation of assigned practice goals, programs, objectives, personnel, and resources.

Works in collaboration with Clinical director, regional managers, office manager and staff to achieve goals and strengthen communication between practices and Administration.

Oversees patient accounts and cash management functions.

Regularly reviews the financial performance of practices and works with Office Managers to identify negative trends in expenses and assists in developing a plan of action to address variances.

Reports to the regional managers, clinical director, and Administration for corporate, financial and operation related issues.

Facilitates monthly meetings with managers and managing physicians to communicate initiatives, gain feedback, and maintain continued focus on goals.

Develops and maintains systems and / or processes that measure results of front-line staff work, productivity, volume, patient/staff/provider satisfaction or other work improvement indicators.

Has the authority to direct and support managers with functional area responsibilities. Has the responsibility to work with managing physicians to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews.

Knowledge of concepts, practices, and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations.

Knowledge of basic computer systems and applications. Experience with EHR systems.

Education / Training / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Minimum of five years related experience in a health care setting.
