Overview
We are seeking a highly trained and vigilant Armed Security Guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff for the 2025-2026 School Year.
Responsibilities
- Patrol of school facilities and grounds to prevent disruptive or illegal actions, access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
- Respond to all violent incidents or critical emergencies at our facility
- Fixed shift hours Monday-Friday with occasional overtime for special events to ensure a safe environment for students and staff
Requirements
- Current VALID ACT 235 Certification
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems preferred.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and conflict management practices.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Weapons Qualification Valid within the last 12 months
- Must be licensed under the Uniforms Firearms Act and have a current training under the Lethal Weapons Training Act
MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN ALL CLEARANCES AND TRAININGS TO EMPLOYED BY A PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL DISTRICT
COMPLETION OF ACT 67: SCHOOL SECURITY PERSONNEL BASIC TRAINING COURSE PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT OFFERED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS
