Lead Security Technician – DFW Area

The basic responsibilities of a Tier One Lead Security Technician include directing and managing security technologies installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Analog and IP-based CCTV systems; Access Control systems; Intrusion Detection systems; and Solar Technologies. Tier One Lead Security Technicians manage, train, and evaluate multiple Tier One Access Control Technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of all projects.

Starting pay is between $33 and $37 based on experience, knowledge, and abilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Degree or GED required. Additional formal training and certifications in related fields is a strong plus
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in the execution of large, complex IP Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems in a commercial and industrial setting
- Basic to intermediate knowledge/skill of/with computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Gateways, routers, switches
- Basic to intermediate knowledge/skill in planning, installation, and application of Access Control, Intrusion and Video Systems
- Intermediate knowledge in the deployment of large, complex IP Video Surveillance Systems
- Working knowledge of electronic and digital test equipment such as multi-meters, and digital cable analyzers
- Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals
- Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts, weekends and participate in a 24/7 on call rotation
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel (if needed)
- Candidate must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a criminal backgroundinvestigation
- In good physical condition, able to work in both office and outside environments, sometimes in unusual and difficult positions such as ladders, scaffolding, lifts, confined spaces, etc.…
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively

- Video management software (Luxriot, Avigilon, Geovision, etc.)
- Windows based DVR/ NVR hardware (Milestone, Avigilon, etc.)
- Access Control Systems (OPENPATH, Gallagher, etc.)
- Intrusion Systems (DSC, Honeywell, etc.)
- Audio systems and amplifiers (Axis, Barix SIP devices, etc.)
- Switches, Routers, Power supplies, Power Distribution Units, UPS systems
- Various Category network cabling / BNC cable termination (Compression and Crimp)
- Integrating equipment onto customer and company proprietary networks
- Wireless access point equipment (Ubiquiti, etc.)
- Maintain accurate inventory and document field activities
Starting pay is between $33 and $37 based on experience, knowledge, and abilities
