Position Overview
Will provide comprehensive support for pipeline facility projects, including measurement and regulation stations, compressor stations, LNG plants, and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have electrical utility design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and recent experience in designing and drafting electrical systems in a utility environment. This role involves designing and running electrical circuits for various projects.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed functional and physical design drawings for electrical equipment and related facilities, including technical area plans, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams for power and control projects.
- Select materials and prepare material lists based on engineering specifications, operational requirements, and standards.
- Review and assemble project drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accepted standards and formats.
- Revise drawings according to feedback and project requirements.
- Participate in design conferences and field visits to assess project power, control, and grounding needs.
- Collaborate with engineers and field operations teams to define project scope and ensure alignment.
- Report on design progress to project engineers and managers.
- Contribute to task forces and participate in conferences or training sessions to improve internal / external processes.
- Perform electrical calculations, including load, conduit, system sizing, and equipment capacity.
- Ensure design compliance with company specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist engineers with resolving electrical design challenges and developing effective solutions.
