Sr. Financial Analyst (Treasury)

Our client, one of Long Island premier consumer goods companies located in New Hyde Park is seeking a Financial Analyst (Treasury) to join their team! This role is a mix of accounting, finance and treasury operations with a lot of ad hoc special projects as well. The company offers exciting growth opportunity and an award winning culture. Key responsibilities may include:

Cash Flow Management:

• Monitoring and forecasting daily cash positions.
• Producing accurate and timely cash flow reports.
• Identifying potential cash flow issues and proposing solutions.

Bank Relationship Management:

• Managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Negotiating banking terms and fees.
• Overseeing bank account structures.

Financial Risk Management:

• Identifying and mitigating potential financial risks (currency fluctuations, interest rate risk)
• Implementing hedging strategies as needed

Treasury System Administration:

• Maintaining and optimizing treasury management systems.
• Implementing system upgrades and enhancements

Reporting and Analysis:

• Developing and presenting comprehensive treasury reports to senior management
• Performing complex financial analysis to support strategic decision-making

Compliance:

• Ensuring adherence to all relevant treasury regulations and compliance standards

Collaboration:

• Working closely with other departments like accounting, sales, and operations to understand financial needs
• Providing treasury expertise to cross-functional teams

Required skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5 years of experience in treasury operations
• Proficiency in treasury management systems
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
