IT Consultant

TigerBytes IT Solutions is looking for an IT Consultant / Technician.

DUTIES: Work directly with existing clients to support all of their IT needs. Be able to support any IT related issues for our clients. Server configurations, computer setup, router and network configurations, troubleshooting, software installation, virus protection, Microsoft 365 management, user account creations, printer troubleshooting, etc. This also includes management of the client's IT infrastructure and documentation. Consult with clients about technology needs. Work within our team to field helpdesk calls throughout the day to support our growing list of clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should have experience with remote or on-site computer/server setup, troubleshooting and management for a small/medium business IT environment. Minimum requirements are 2 years working in this type of environment or equivalent training/education. MCSE, CCNA, A or other IT certifications are a bonus. Knowledge of Server 2008 through 2022 a huge plus. Remote maintenance and troubleshooting during evening hours will also be required from time to time as well as rotated weekly on-call support.

EXPECTATIONS:
This is a professional client-facing IT consulting position. You may have to travel onsite to our client's locations in and around the Greater Baton Rouge area. You will be expected to represent the company in a professional manner and fill out an end of the day log of all work done. You should expect to be in constant communication on the status of work and new work that needs to be performed.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server.
• Experience and/or knowledge of Microsoft 365, including tenant management.
• Experience with various consumer grade and advanced firewalls such as Sonicwall and Watchguard.
• Experience with various network configurations, wireless, VLANs and network management tools (Unifi, Cisco, etc).
• Experience with Antivirus/EDR/RMM software (SentinelOne, NinjaRMM, etc)
• Some CAT5 wiring, patch panel and punch down skills a plus.
• Some website design a plus.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Good communicator (written and oral).
• Maintain documentation of work.
• Ability to work independently as required.
• Must provide own transportation & have reliable vehicle.
• Must have cell phone available for daily business use.
• Bending and Lifting 50 lbs. is a part of the job.
• Be prepared to provide good references.
