Where would you step in?
As a valuable member of our Coastal team, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of coastal and waterfront engineering projects, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You could sit in our North Kingston, Rhode Island or Providence, Rhode Island offices. We are open to considering any of our New England offices. We offer a hybrid work environment and flexible Fridays in the summer.
Our Marine/Waterfront Group and Projects
We focus on planning and engineering services that address the many challenges of coastal and waterfront storm damage on infrastructure. The effects of climate change have made an impact on countless communities and our focus is prevention. Our team of nearly 120 Land Use & Transportation professionals across our 12 regional offices support our coastal resiliency projects.
What will you be doing?
You will guide our clients through all phases of the project beginning with the concept to construction completion. As a Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for client interactions, managing budgets, implementing project schedules, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to project engineers and other staff. Your projects would include port, pier, dock, and industrial waterfront facility infrastructure improvements; seawalls, revetments, shoreline restoration, bulkheads, inspections, geotechnical investigations, retaining walls, fendering systems, pile-supported structures, boat ramps, and a variety of other geo-structural projects. You will ensure the adherence to Tighe & Bond’s standards of quality through the development of permit applications, drawings, specifications, opinions of cost, and reports.
What do you need?
You will need significant years of consulting engineering experience and increasing responsibility in the waterfront industry. A BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field. You will need a PE license, project management experience, and great technical skills. You should have a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and excelling in client management and business development. Expertise in regulatory requirements, environmental compliance, and sustainable engineering practices is essential for success in this role.

Senior Project Manager salaries are determined based on internal equity and market analysis and will vary based on the candidate’s skill and experience; the salary range for this position is $134,000 - $176,000.
