Position Summary : We are currently seeking a talented Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success. This position is specifically for the Santa Teresa Port of Entry Project and is contingent upon contract award.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction process by preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a wide range of commercial construction projects. You will work closely with our project management and business development teams to secure new projects and ensure that client needs are met. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects while playing a key part in the growth and success of our company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Estimation : Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Bid Preparation : Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that are competitive, accurate, and aligned with project requirements and specifications.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Relations : Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong relationships with industry partners.
- Value Engineering : Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering without compromising quality.
- Cost Analysis : Conduct thorough analysis of project plans and specifications to identify potential cost risks and opportunities.
- Cost Tracking : Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction phase, assisting in change order pricing and cost control.
- Documentation : Maintain organized and well-documented records of all estimating activities, including proposals, correspondence, and historical cost data.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and cohesive project estimates.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
